I tried the thin cardboard (a bookmark actually) and it worked, when nothing else did. That said, the disk might be stuck--is it a standard size disk?--or the drive could be defective. In the Input Sources list make sure Keyboard & Character Viewer is checked.

I could verify this by re-inserting the same CD I ejected (halfway, so it won't be swallowed again) and moving it in/out a bit: the friction between the CD and rubber This worked, and after that now the eject button works again. check over here if there were trying to eject from finder.

that option worked to the T my cd was stuck for like a month drutil eject just wasnt working…….
