Ms Word 2003 Save As Not Working
In the File name box, enter a new name for the file. If you are saving the file for the first time, you are asked to give it a name. There is a section there for setting default save type. Also, since this happened, I don't have MS update automaticlly anymore. Load the original file (not the copy you used Open and Repair with) and use Save As to save the document in different formats. Then restart office and it should work fine. Then, added the new rhd.dot from C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Remove Hidden Data Tool directory.
Do a backup of the registry first so you have a fall back. I hope this helps. I've turned off the automatic update through XP now. Go back to a system restore checkpoint around the time you remember when Microsoft Office saved files,(For me this was 1month back) 4. The person who helped me, deleted zonealarm and ran avast. Maybe that may be gettin the way. I've always thought Microsoft puts things on your computer and changes and updates files without telling you.
