And seems to have gone one better.   Previously when running Messenger alone...email notification was instant (as one expects) but when Messenger was running with the new Windows Live Mail Client Has anyone else experienced this? I thought maybe it was a virus.

By starting up GB & then quitting out of it, the Audio MIDI Setup app settings will revert back to default and the sound should return.
