Thanks for posting! Just below the Current Keys box Word informs you that this shortcut key is currently assigned to the NavPaneSearch command. (That's the root of the problem, right?) Click the Assign button. The way to verify this is to see if spell-check works in "safe mode". Check This Out I have tried CTRL+HOME, also CTRL+H, to no avail.
