Not? As for the grounding, I'm not sure if I have a "whole house" protector. And, as I said previously, I was able to successfully connect to my laptop with the ethernet. Tried a different ethernet cable too, still no joy. It's an onboard "NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller", and I'm running Windows 7 x64.
