From my further research on this issue it does seem there is a history of hardware related power button failures on this device, so I installed the 'Fix Broken Power Button' Samsung and others outside of this forum (eg: removing and inserting battery with charger connected), but it does not work for me. After few days again same problem...... navigate to this website but you have to be as accurate as possible : 3 sec ... The button clicked fine. This part is tricky so be careful not to break it.
My power button is not working and when i tried connecting the mobile using usb it is not showing any charging bar or something. Here's my solution or non-solution: The first 2 days I keep pressing it out of frustration, taking battery in and out numerous of time.
You can simply press on it and reconnect it to the board to fix the power button issues.
