by R. Good day, Thank you. It did a month ago, but not now. The CD/DVD drive LED no longer blinks either. check over here

Thankfully, it is a dead simple fix. An AVG (free edition, fully updated) scan didn't find any threats, however shell32 and ntoskrnl.exe were shown as changed. I have an HP touchsmart with Windows 7 which after installing 7 I cannot burn or even play a DVD in drive. TechSpot is a registered trademark.
