Reset process was already tried previously... Now the spell checking is working correctly! The spelling checker is enabled if [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a checkmark. You do need a dictionary for en-GB.

With that said, you may close this forum question/request. Firefox Autocorrect It's been working very nicely for a number of years, but now it's stopped. Is there even anybody looking at this problem that I have experienced since at least Version 24? About the used FF installation, it was always downloaded from the Mozilla official website.
